And We send down of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the Zalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers) nothing but loss.” (17:82)
From above we can see that Quran is healing and mercy for those Muslim who read and recite it.
A Reminder
Quran serves as reminder for those who read Quraan and listen it. As human we may be distracted from our purpose of life so if we regularly read Quran, it will remind you everything we have to do in life hence keeping us on right track.
Truly there is a reminder in this for anyone who has a heart, or who listens attentively with presence of mind.” (50:37)
From above ayah it is obvious that Quran is reminder for Muslims the only condition is that one must listen it attentively. Quran reminds us that this life is transitory and we have to live this life with complete submission to Allah Almighty and there is reward for us in upcoming life.
Blessing And Mercy
Allah showers his blessings and mercy on those people who Recite Quraan and listen it. In Quran Allah SWT says:
When the Quran is read, listen attentively, and fall silent, so that you may be blessed with mercy.” (7:204)
The above ayah tells us that if we listen Quran carefully and silently Allah will bless us with mercy. It is also imperative that one must keep silence and listen attentively when he come across recitation of Quran.
Guidance
Quran is book to guide us about every matter of our life and tell us how we can please our creator. If we listen to Quran we will remember the its verses we will try to implement in our life. If we don’t know Arabic we should read it with translation and meaning. Learning Arabic may be difficult but you can remember the meanings of verses of Qur’aan.
Those who eschew Evil – and fall not into its worship – and turn to Allah (in repentance) – for them is Good News: announce the Good News to My Servants – Those who listen to the Word, and follow the best (meaning) in it: those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are ones endued with understanding.” (39:17-18)
So above ayah reveals that it is responsibility of Muslim to listen to Quran and deduce the meaning to implement in his life.
